Congregate Meals

Our Congregate Meals program offers meals for seniors aged 60 and above, providing a nutritious and balanced meal in a social setting. Congregate meals are available from Monday to Thursday from 11am to 1pm. Funded by Sourcewise, this program aims to support seniors' health and well-being while fostering a sense of community.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Any older individual (priority given to Santa Clara County older adults aged 60 and older).

  2. The spouse of any older individual (priority given to spouse of Santa Clara County older adults aged 60 and older).

  3. A person with a disability, under age sixty (60) who resides in housing facilities occupied primarily by older individuals at which congregate nutrition services are provided.

  4. A disabled individual who resides at home with and accompanies an older individual who participates in the program.

  5. A volunteer under age sixty (60), if doing so will not deprive an older individual sixty (60) or older of a meal. [CCR 7636.9(b) (3); CCR 7638.7 (b); and OAA 339(H)]

  6. Seniors in Santa Clara County can only be enrolled in one meal program at a time — either congregate or home-delivered, not both.

  7. If a senior is currently enrolled with another provider (such as the Santa Clara County Senior Nutrition Program or Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen), they cannot join BLOOM USA unless they switch. We’ll help notify your current provider.
